Vertical Sales Rep - client success specialist

As a Vertical Sales Rep, you will drive business growth by leading customer acquisition in your market. You will do this by helping the customer succeed in making their business more efficient, productive and sustainable. Often that means saving them a bunch of money while going green. You succeed by bringing on new clients to succeed (with our products and services)!

You will have help acquiring new business from our customer referrals, partner referrals, website leads and customer trade shows. You will also be expected to illustrate you can generate new qualified leads from customer business organizations (you belong to) and/or cold calls.  You like closing deals and “rain making”.

You are a person of integrity and ethics who can communicate clearly with confidence verbally and in writing. You are an active listener and continually probe for insights to clarify your customer’s needs. You are able to educate clients on our solutions and value propositions to ensure they are gaining maximum value from our many solutions. You communicate with CFOs as easily as with facility managers and staff.  Character and communications are strengths for you.

You then coordinate the client’s needs into actionable tasks and reasonable timelines for our team to deliver and exceed their expectations! You have the ability to level set expectations and illustrate empathy while reassuring all stakeholders through solution development and implementation.  You are timely and instill confidence.

Experience and Skills:

  • Verifiable track record of performance and results in your craft. You have a demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals.
  • Comfortable with digital tools such as: email, presentations, spreadsheets and actively using a CRM (we currently use Hubspot).
  • Fundamental understanding of energy, facilities and sustainability. Experience successfully selling in that space is a plus.
  • Genuinely like clean technology and want to join us on our mission to make fossil fuels irrelevant.
  • Background or degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Digital Marketing or an acceptable combination of education and work experience is a plus.
  • You are well connected and knowledgeable in one of the following vertical markets: commercial, industrial, retail, food service, hospitality, healthcare, education, government, transit, venues.

Specific tasks include:

  • Contacting prospects via our in-house automated lead generation system and other methods.
  • Developing your own leads (as needed) to meet or exceed sales plan goals.
  • Educating prospects on 3fficient’s benefits and how they fit the prospect’s needs and goals.
  • Assist new customers with onboarding and expectations.
  • Address any customer support issues at project initiation for a smooth handoff to the project manager or account manager, then after delivery for additional services, referrals and testimonials.
  • Analyze Performance and provide data driven insights to customers using various tools.
  • Contribute to 3fficient’s ongoing development in various functions including product development, marketing, operations, support, partnerships and more.

Job Type: Contract, Commission to Base + Commission, (part time ok)

Income Range:  $40,000 – $250,000.

Account Manager

As an Account Manager, you will drive business success by growing relationships with 3fficient’s portfolio customers. You’ll become a trusted advisor by providing data, insights, platform expertise and exceptional customer support. You will persistently explore and uncover the business needs of our portfolio customers and understand how our range of products and services can improve their business.  This role involves interacting with corporate executives,  franchisees, property managers and facility managers as well as various stakeholders responsible for tactical execution. You communicate with confidence and will need empathy, persistence, focus and passion for customer satisfaction. The position also involves educating customers on our solutions and value propositions, and supporting them as needed.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop business relationships with 3fficient accounts
  • Work with our business intelligence team to provide data driven insights to customer stakeholders
  • Present new opportunities and solutions based on customer needs and secure appropriate commitment
  • Collate customer feedback and work with 3fficient’s leadership to prioritize product and service enhancements
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, business intelligence and product teams to develop comprehensive action plans
  • Contribute to 3fficient’s ongoing development in various functions including product development, marketing, operations, support, partnerships and more

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1-2 years of sales/customer facing experience including relationship management.
  • Comfortable with using CRM software, email and other communications tools to connect with customers.
  • Ability to think strategically about complex issues, driving thoughtful recommendations and action plans.

Project Manager/Superintendent - San Diego County

As a Project Manager/Superintendent, you will execute project delivery flawlessly, drive customer satisfaction through high quality, on time and on budget delivery.  You will work with the sales team and management to ensure expectations are set properly in the beginning and managed throughout project delivery.  You will also seek to find additional solutions needs for the customer, working with the sales or account rep to deliver on those needs.  You communicate with confidence and clearly to ensure accurate management of project scope ensuring customer buy-in and positively motivated delivery by your team and subcontractors.  You treat suppliers and contractors fairly clearly to ensure timely execution of all necessary tasks.  You are well organized and know your trades well.  You are inquisitive and seek to improve your skills and give honest, timely feedback to your team and leadership.

Specific tasks include:

  • Reviewing proposals and contracts in a timely fashion to ensure the company is not overpromising and that you will be able to deliver upon those promises.
  • Providing a seamless transition from sales to project management upon contract execution.  Assisting with contract negotiations as needed.
  • Organizing architects, engineers, suppliers, contractors and commissioning agents to provide clear scopes, schedules and budgets that align with your master contract, ensuring there are no gaps in delivery or expectations..
  • Managing your delivery schedule clearly and communicating with all team members.  Proactively alerting leadership before issues become problems.
  • Analyze Performance and provide data driven insights to your team and leadership using various tools.
  • Contribute to 3fficient’s ongoing development of innovation and excellence.

Desired Skills / Experience:

  • University or college degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering or an acceptable combination of education and work experience.
  • 1-2 years of Project Management experience (preferably in green buildings or renewables)
  • Strong knowledge of construction management, facilities management or commissioning.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and expectations on time and budget.
  • PMP certification  – a plus
  • Organized, level headed and safety oriented
  • Exceptional communication abilities, written and verbal
