Liquid Window Insulation for Contractors

Windows account for 30-50% of all energy waste in air conditioned buildings.  Our clear window insulation (for certified installers only) is a breakthrough in nano technology that blocks up to 98% of infrared heat and 99.9% of UV for glass and plastics, making almost any window or skylight super efficient.

  • Improves thermal performance of any window or skylight.
  • Far superior to plastic films.  Lasts longer.  Won’t peel, crack, chip or bubble.
  • Exceeds stringent California Energy codes and adds USGBC LEED credits.
  • Tints range from clear (4%) to 16% bluish tint for color enhancement and glare reduction.

In the United States alone, more than 40% of all buildings were built before 1990 and are comprised of un-insulated single-pane windows. Billions of square feet of windows are responsible for over 25% of all energy waste in the built environment.  Even so, many windows do not get replaced due to the high capital cost and modest ROI, leaving window tint or blinds as the best alternatives.  Until now.

Our thermal nano-coatings are ideal for single-pane glass and polycarbonate surfaces. These coatings block up to 100% of Ultraviolet (UV) rays and 98% of Infrared (IR) heat while maintaining up to 96% Visible Light Transmission (depending on the product selected). That’s a huge improvement over conventional plastic films that darken rooms.

Even better, our “paint on” coatings do not peel, crack, bubble or fade over time.  They can be applied to bent glass, historic building windows, skylights and even textured glass surfaces enabling energy savings where it was previously impossible.  By mitigating both radiant and conductive heat, your upgraded windows and skylights will make your buildings more efficient and comfortable year round.  All while allowing in free natural daylight.

This is a summary of installation process.  Important.  The detailed installation instructions must be strictly followed.  Warranty is ONLY available if installed by certified technicians on interior surface.

Step 1.  Mask off areas to be protected.

Step 2.  Clean and dry surface carefully using cleaner/degreaser compound.  Test to make sure surface is completely hydrophylic (water sheets off) before drying with lint free wipes and applying LNT coating.

Step 3. Prime surface using lint free cloth.  Wipe on using squeegee and lint free cloth.  Do not use circular motions.

Step 4. Mix hardener and base by weight and roll on using select high density foam rollers.  Roll on following instructions.  Sprayer may be used on some opaque surfaces, like skylights, not requiring perfect visual clarity.

  • Dry time: 2 minutes.  Tack free in 30 minutes.  Odor free in 4 hours.  Full dry in 24 hours.
  • Cure time:  Safe for routine cleaning in 14 days.
  • Large windows over 24-30 SF may require 2-step application process (1/2 at a time).

Get Certified

Getting certified has great benefits: most importantly passing along of the manufacturer’s warranty, wholesale pricing, online training, marketing support, sales support, ongoing training, phone tech support.

In order to become a certified installer you must purchase the starter kit (described below), watch an online training tutorial and illustrate proper test install validated by us or an approved local third party.

After that, you will supply a valid business license(s) and in some areas a valid contractors license, bonding and proof of insurance.

The Starter Kit (for certifying new installers only), includes:

  • Liquid Window Insulation (200g or ~7 oz) & Hardener (24 g ~1 oz)
  • Glass primer (40 g or ~1.5 oz)
  • Degreaser/Cleaner (sample size)
  • Squeegee (1)
  • Mixing rod (1)
  • Mixing cup (1)
  • Metal tray (1)
  • Roller handle (1)
  • High density foam rollers (2)
  • Cleaning towel (1)
  • Powder free nitrile gloves (1 pair)
  • Disposable lint free paper towels (3)
  • Application and Mixing Instructions
  • Application Training Video
  • Safety Data Sheets
Not included:
  • Foam rubbing block for old or extra dirty windows
  • Binder Clips (2) for securing wipe to squeegee
  • Glass scraper or razor blades
  • Lint free microfiber cloths
  • Painters masking tape and drape materials
  • Personal Protection Equipment (e.g. extra gloves, respirator, eye protection)
  • Weighing scale or calculator
  • Aluminum foil
